How To Make a Bamboo Wall
I am always looking for a cheap way to cut my garden off from intruders, noisy neighbours and traffics. The other day I was examining a friend’s homemade bamboo garden., young bamboo can be woven into bundles at least seven feet tall and then braced laterally with older, thicker stems.Â

A very ancient way of creating a bamboo wall is to simply cut the bamboo into four-foot lengths and then stack them on top of each other. Each year as the bamboo decays, more bamboo is stacked on top of the decaying bamboo to keep the wall at its original height. Bamboo does not really turn into compost. It just sort of compacts.This type of bamboo wall is best suited to a garden that is more gnarly, wild and natural looking.
