Is Mabus George Bush?



Perhaps the most debated of all of the Nostradamus interpretations during the past decade is the one that interprets MABUS to read directly from the latin as Mr. Bush. Mr. Bush could only refer to two prominent living modern individuals in the quatrains – president George F. Bush or his son George W. Bush.

   

Then, Mabus shortly dying, there shall be

Of man and beast a massacre most dread.

Then suddenly they’ll awful vengeance see:

Thirst, famine, blood, with comet overhead.

   

This is because Mabus translates directly from the Greek to mean Mr. Bush and as long as there is a Mr. Bush in power or in approximation to anyone in power, the name is always going to cause concern for students of Nostradamus who are never sure how to read this particular quatrain. Hundreds of years ago this quatrain was thought to refer to the painter Mabuse.

   

The fact that Ma Bush or Mr. Bush is so troubling to many is that the name does translate from the Greek to directly mean Mr. Bush.

Nostradamus’ Most Accurate Prediction



When it comes to his quatrains, Nostradamus has had a couple of really accurate predictions. His greatest predictionsis often considered to be about the death of Henry II at age 40 in a play duel with his younger brother Montgomery in 1559.

  

This spot on quatrain (Century I, 35) read:

  

The Young lion will overcome the old one

On the field of battle in single combat

He will put out his eyes in a cage of gold

Two fleets one, then to die a cruel death

  

Just about every image in this quatrain foretold the king’s death exactly. The battle was on a single field – a jousting field. It was single combat – one man jousting against another. His eyes were put out when the spear went through his gold helmet.

The Tennis Court Prediction of Nostradamus



Perhaps one of the most puzzling of all of the Nostradamus predictions is Century I, Quatrain 65.  The Quatrain makes reference to a royal child who is wounded at a game of tennis.  Here it is –.


65

A child without hands, never so great a thunderbolt seen,

the royal child wounded at a game of tennis.

At the well lightning strikes, joining together

three trussed up in the middle under the oaks.


Still so far in history it does not seem that any royal child in the world has been wounded in a game of tennis Just as a matter of interest three oak leaves trussed up in the middle is part of the civic symbol of Nottinghamshire in England The image of oaks might also just in general refer to the royal family as three oak leaves appear on so many of their crests.


However in general this quatrain is thought to refer tothe two current Englishroyal princes. The royal child that is thought to be the victim of  is thought by most interpreters of Nostradamus prophecies to be Prince William.  The reason for this is that William is mentioned so little during the Nostradamus quatrains that describe the centuries that we are living in now but by contrast the name Harry is mentioned a lot. This leads us to believe that Harry will be the ruler of Great Britain in the new millennium and not William.
