Eye Discoloration and Health

Have you ever wondered what the discolorations in your eyes might have to do with your health.  Iridology can tell – the science of reading eyes. It is always easier to read blue or green eyes as brown eyes actually can conceal the reddish brown markings identified with certain deteriorative conditions..

The area of the eye that is most likely to be brown  (even in blue eyed individuals) is called the intestinal ring. This is the area circling the pupil in both eyes.  A brown discoloration is very common as it means the person has been consuming a fatty diet of mostly meat and dairy.

By contratst this area is lighter in color or if a brown eye is boasting a blue ring than  it means that mucus is accumulating in the the intestines. An iridologist in this case would recommend that foods that create mucus in the system be avoided - such as yogurt, cheese, alcohol and refined carbohydrates.

Generally, white markings indicate a need for soothing, sedating or calming an organ and that it is inflamed or irritated while darker areas show that the organ is weakening or dying and needs to be stimulated.
