Gynostemma Tea

Recently I discovered yet another healing Asian tea that is quite delicious. Jiao Gu Lan  – This tea is known as Chinese Southern ginsing tea or Gynostemma.

The tea smells like seaweed but tastes tart and refreshing like other ginsing teas. The best quality Jiao Gu Lan comes from Wan Nan in the An Hui Province. This incredible tea has all kinds of perks. It is  often known as the longevity tonic. It is anti-aging and indicated by physicians for for anti-inflammation, detoxification, cough remedy, as an expectorant and as a chronic bronchitis remedy. It is also used heart palpitation and for fatigue syndromes.

You can find this one in your local China town or online too.

Honeysuckle Tea For Wealth?

I bought some honeysuckle tea as honeysuckle is such as wealth and love drawing flower. Much to my surprise this medicinal tasting tea has just a tasty hint of vanilla. The best honeysuckle flower tea is said to come from the An Hui province. It is a bright yellow clear tea that is also known as Jin Yin Hua This tea detoxifies the blood, liver, intestines and kidneys, cools fevers and heals sore throats and ulcers. You can find this type of tea in your local Chinatown. I will be sure to keep you up to date on my other tea tasting adventures in the near future. Peace Be Still Sam

Ginkgo Tea Keeps You Alert

Recently I quit smoking and found it difficult to concentrate without nicotine. This is where Gingko tea came in handy.

The Gingko tree is also known as the silver apricot. It does not taste like apricots though – it is woody and nutty tasting.  It is also known as the “long life” because the gingko tree lives longer than any other plant in the world.

. It is also known as Yin Xing or Gingkyo. It increases blood circulation to the brain and extremities, increases metabolism, relaxes constricted vessels and improves concentration and memory.

I like it because it keeps me awake while writing ;)
