Here are a few more tips for keeping your office circulating with good chi and safe from harsh shar chi.

 
Wherever you place the fax machine, telephone or computer in your office can be signifigant. Placing these items in the southwest or eastern sectors might attract a lot of interference from your personal life. The ideal place to put these items is in the North (symbolic of career) or the southwest (symbolic of money.)  If you are an actor or actress however you might want to consider placing your phone in the south (the fame sector.)  If you own an NCR or cash box the best place to put it is in the southwest corner.

 
Avoid having any sharp corners pointing directly at your desk such as the corner of another desk, a Xerox machine or a paper cutter. This symbolizes cutting shar chi that can bring malfortune.

 
Speaking of sharp pointy things, also avoid growing cactus in your office area as the needles are symbolic of negative chi.

Here are some quick Feng Shui Tips for placing your desk in an auspicious position.

 
The most ideal locations to situate a home office, in order of best to last are the North (the Career Sector), the Southwest (the Wealth sector), the Northeast (Skills and Talents sector) or the South (the fame and recognition sector.)

 
Always sit with a solid wall behind your back. Wall represent emotional and financial support. A back with no wall is not supported by life. Never sit with a window behind you as it makes your back a point of vulnerability for negative chi.

 
Position your desk to have a clear view of the door. If this isn’t possible, hang a small mirror so you can easily view the door’s reflection.

 
Don’t put a shelf over your desk. This symbolizes things that will “hang over your head” and monkeys on your back. The sharp corners of shelves can be harsh shar chi.  If you do have a shelf over your head hang chimes from it and don’t overload it with heavy objects as the shelf can symbolize burdens.
