Clean up the clutter of any past romantic encounters. Make sure you get rid of old love letters, gifts, trinkets and other mementos.This helps you create space for a new relationship in your life.

 
Remove all art that depicts a single woman within the frame. This includes portraits of yourself. Replace these images with pictures or symbols of romantic couples.

 
Too much Yin or Yang. If you are a single woman and your southwestern corners are completely dominated by Laura Ashley type frills, lacey pillows and perfume bottles than try to balance it out by adding a few masculine touches. Likewise males should not boast southwestern corners filled with heaps of sports equipment, dirty laundry or piles of girlie magazines.  Add a feminine touch such as an aromatherapy unit or a vase of flowers.  .

 
Sharp angles and corners in this area of the home are thought to drive off potential suitors. The southwestern corner is not a great place to hang your collection of sabers, umbrellas or encourage the growth of a cactus.

Flowers that you can plant to enhance your southwest love corner are daisies gardenia, lavender, orchid, poppy, primrose, daffodils, lillies, tulips, asters, bleeding hearts,periwinkle, hyacinth, trilliums, violet, geranium and of course roses.

Trees that are considered to be love drawing (remembering once again that I am throwing in a little pagan symbolism and mixing it up with feng shui  are  Olive Elm, Magnolia Fig, Willow andPlum,Myrtle, rye, witch grass, juniper, chickweed also favour sex and fertility.

Herbs that can give your love life a boost are rosemary, thyme, basil, marjoram, dill and mint. Produce that spices up your love life includes cumcumbers, bananas, ginger, endive, raspberries, tomatoes and any kind of element.

This area represents Big Earth on the Bagua so it is a good place to put a stone statue or a large rock or boulder. This symbolizes eternal love and emotional security.

Calcite in general is good for the nerves and especially good for taking away the negative vibrations of visitors or clients.  It is the ideal stone for nurses, babysitters and caregivers to carry in their pockets.

In addition this stone can help enhance both your love life and your business. Placed in the bedroom it activates the second chakra and increases the sex drive. Place in the office it enhances your creativity and your ability to find work that you love to do.

This is a very pleasant energizing stone and it represents the base chakras. It is energizing and boosts the self esteem. As it is the luckiest Feng Shui color – red- it is also likely to be lucky when it comes to boosting your finances as well.  It can help improve a relationship if it is placed in a southwest corner.

The main color scheme in this area of your garden should be pink, purple, red or yellow. Flowers that are known for their love attracting qualities are roses, daffodils, lilies, asters, tulips, gardenias, lavender, poppy, orchid primrose, periwinkle, trilliums, hyacinth, geraniums and violets.

 
Trees that enhance loving vibes are any of the fruit trees but especially plum and cherry, magnolia, fig trees, olive and elm.  Grasses and herbs that should be planted in this area are rye, witch grass, myrtle, chickweed, juniper, basil, dill, marjoram, thyme, rosemary and mint.  Endive, raspberries, cabbages and tomatoes are fruits and vegetables that attract love.

One of my favorite Feng Shui knickknacks is the dragon headed turtle. This auspicious statue is a hybrid of two lucky Chinese animals – it has the body of a turtle and the head of a dragon. It is sold as a brass, aluminum, ceramic, red lacquer or glass sculpture. You can also find them carved out of semi-precious stones such as rose quartz or jade. The better quality ones also feature a magic square marked with numbers engraved on the tortoise shell.

 

 This is such a powerful symbol of luck, love, wealth, protection and longevity that it is ideal to place in the center of your house which also metaphorically represents the center of the body and the self. However it is also considered to be an amplifier of good fortune that enhances the sector in which it is place.

  

Unlike the money frog, which has a coin placed in its mouth the dragon headed turtle features a ribbon. To attract love, you place a piece of red ribbon in its mouth and plaice it in the southwestern sector. For health, you place a blue ribbon in its mouth and place it in the center of your home. To attract money you place it in the southeastern corner and place a gold piece of ribbon in its mouth.

  

However it is considered bad luck to have a dragon headed turtle in your bathroom or kitchen.

If you are a Monkey, Rat or Dragon your Peach Blossom Direction is in the west and is enhanced by things that are metal such as wind chimes, silver picture frames and metal bowls.

If you are a Tiger, Horse or Dog your Peach Blossom direction is in the East and best enhanced by wood. This includes small trees, wooden statuary and wooden bowls.

 If you are a Snake, Rooster or Ox, the south sector of your home it is your Peach Blossom direction and it should be enhanced with lamps, things colored red and red gemstones and statuary.

If you are a Pig, Rabbit, Sheep then your Peach Blossom direction is the North. In this case you are best to enhance it with objects that relate to water such as fountains, aquariums and bottles filled with liquids.

Of course the best thing to do is enhance all of the these areas with the usual pairs of flowers, pairs of birds and symbols that represent love.

Apple Blossoms:  Drop freshly picked blossoms in your bath to draw the “bee” to the blossom. Carrying the blossoms on your person increases your popularity and charisma.
Frangipani:  Can be bought as an oil or commercial incense. The flowers are used to gain the confidence or trust of a person that you desire.
Hazel:  Two twigs tied together with a red ribbon are said to reconcile estranged lovers.
Jasmine:  Can be bought as incense, oil or perfume. The flowers are rare, but if you can find them they are sprinkled on the bed or stuffed in a pillow to ensure a successful seduction.
Lavender:  Kept as a plant in the home or stuffed inside a pillow, this sweet smelling herb is thought to straighten out marital problems and ensure fidelity.
Orange Blossoms: Used as oil, perfume, as a plant or sprinkled in a bath to attract a marriage proposal.
Myrtle:  A sprig of myrtle kept in the bedroom, on a mirror or hung above the bed is said to increase fertility.
Poppy Seeds: Stuffed in your lover’s pillow, it these are thought to make him or her dream of you.
Rosemary:  Used in every way, ingested, as incense, as oil and in a sachet, to bind two people together in a gentle loving manner.
Sweet Pea: An attraction flower. The plant is kept in the garden to attract friends and lovers. Bathing in the flowers is thought to increase popularity.
