As mentioned in the last blog, the center of your home is the health sector.  It is ruled by earth so it would be a mistake put large wood objects, that consume earth in the Feng Shui Cycle of Destruction here.

Do not place a large wooden table, a piano or any other huge wooden objects in your health sector. Other large wooden objects that should not be placed  here  –religious wooden statues, mantelpieces and hanging overhead beams.

Things that are shaped like tree trunks or columnar in shape create stagnant energy in this sector. This is not a good area to situate pillars, wooden curious or sweeping wooden staircases.

Although the color green does symbolize growth and renewal it is the wrong color to put in your health sector.             With the exception of the green that is boasted by a small collection of healthy plants (small wood) , the color green hinders the good chi that is mainly produced by the colors brown and yellow in the health sector.

Too much green in this sector is said by some to cause cancer as green encourages everything to grow, not just that which you want to …green is not a good color to have in your bedroom if you have cancer either.

The health sector in your home is the center area of your home. It is ruled by the earth element so to enhance the chi in this area it is a good idea to put a collection of plants or bowls of crystals or rocks.  The colors brown mustard and all shades of yellow also correspond to the earth element so curtains and floor coverings should be in these colors. Sometimes all it takes is a slight shift in color to enhance your chi for health.

Perhaps the simplest addition would be a pot of bright yellow mums or chrysanthemums.

In China, bowls of fruit placed in stone or ceramic bowls are thought to enhance the health. A fruit bowl created with real or ceramic peaches is a good addition to this area as in China the peach is associated with longevity and good health.
