Flowers That Attract Love

Here are some common flowers that are used to attract love to a home.

Apple Blossoms:Â Drop freshly picked blossoms in your bath to draw the â€œbeeâ€ to the blossom. Carrying the blossoms on your person increases your popularity and charisma.
Frangipani:Â Can be bought as an oil or commercial incense. The flowers are used to gain the confidence or trust of a person that you desire.
Hazel:Â Two twigs tied together with a red ribbon are said to reconcile estranged lovers.
Jasmine:Â Can be bought as incense, oil or perfume. The flowers are rare, but if you can find them they are sprinkled on the bed or stuffed in a pillow to ensure a successful seduction.
Lavender:Â Kept as a plant in the home or stuffed inside a pillow, this sweet smelling herb is thought to straighten out marital problems and ensure fidelity.
Orange Blossoms: Used as oil, perfume, as a plant or sprinkled in a bath to attract a marriage proposal.
Myrtle:Â A sprig of myrtle kept in the bedroom, on a mirror or hung above the bed is said to increase fertility.
Poppy Seeds: Stuffed in your loverâ€™s pillow, it these are thought to make him or her dream of you.
Rosemary:Â Used in every way, ingested, as incense, as oil and in a sachet, to bind two people together in a gentle loving manner.
Sweet Pea: An attraction flower. The plant is kept in the garden to attract friends and lovers. Bathing in the flowers is thought to increase popularity.

Love Attracting Bath Bombs

I was just looking at the Lush website and I am starting to think the company is run by a bunch of trailer trash wiccans who mix up cauldrons of goop with copies of Raymond Bucklandâ€™s The Magic in Food tucked under their arm. Anyhow the good thing about Lush is that they do use essential oils in their products. I notice that they have quite a few bath bombs on their site that formally fall into the category of love attracting baths especially in Wiccan magic.

For instance their demurely named Chelsea Garden bath bomb contains rose oil (love attracting), orange blossom (attracts marriage partners), poppy (hypnotizing), peony (attracts marriage partners ) and jasmine (an aphrodisiac.) If that isnâ€™t a come-hither essential oil combo I donâ€™t know what is! Their most erotic bath bomb is aptly named the Sex Bomb and contains jasmine (the aphrodisiac) jasmine (another aphrodisiac) and clary sage oil (which balances out female hormones so that you donâ€™t get a headache and turn down any sexual advances!)

Other interesting love attracting Lush bath bombs include Romance in Stone (a combination of orange and rose oils to attract that happy go lucky kind of lover) and Think Pink! (which contains of all things â€“tonka beans that are used to compel men to bend to your will in many magickal rituals.)

Real Gardenia Oil Is Not For Sale

Gardenia essential oil is one of the most powerful love attracting scents that is known to mankind. The waxy white flowers of the Gardenia shrub have an almost overwhelming fragrance and just a petal or two is so aromatic it is worth about $700 per ounce, which is way beyond the ordinary aromafiendâ€™s budget. Therefore the gardenia oil that we commonly buy in stores is never real. It is completely synthetic and lacking in the aphrodisiac and euphoric qualities that are properties of the real thing. The second most expensive oil is probably rose attar.

The only real gardenia oil that is remotely affordable that is sold on the internet seems to be made by a company called victorie-inc and even that oil is infused in coconut oil. At least this type of oil would have some molecules in it that are capable of penetrating the limbic system and producing a truly beneficial mood altering effect. If I find a site that sells wholesale gardenia oil for an affordable price I will be sure to let you know in this space. In the meantime the stuff sold on is only six bucks but comparing the two is like comparing a bottle of apple cider vinegar to champagne.

Common commercial perfumes that are supposed to contain gardenia oil include Gardenia by Elizabeth Taylor, Gardenia Perfume by Chanel and Tuvache Gardenia Perfume. However the prices on these perfumes are so low it would be hard to convince anyone that they contain any real gardenia oil, only some kind of synthetic fragrance. Sam

Celebrity Perfumes Catch on To “The Aromatherapy Thing”

Being a bit of snob when it comes to aromatherapy and essential oils, I have always dismissed celebrity perfumes as being too synthetic and probably a fine source of allergens and chemicals as well. Give me a master perfumer like Annick Goutal who travels the world to find just the right bit of seaweed or the finest rarest blossom to put in her complex multi-layered (and very healing) perfumes. If you don’t know the story of Annick Goutal, she is a breast cancer survivor who was discovered by French Perfumers as having an “incredible nose.”

However the question today can celebrities also be capable of mixing a healing or genuinely uplifting scent that has the similar transcendatal qualities as an essential oil blend? I was perusing the latest celebrity perfumes and noted with great interest that they are being concocted with more originality and attention to pure oils. I guess in Hollywood it is because the rarer, more expensive and more precious the oils areÂ in your celebrity perfume the more of a status symbol it is. The exception of course is Jessica Simpson who is still putting out perfumes full of white trash synthetic flavors such Vanilla Cupcake and Strawberry Sorbet.

Anyhoo the side benefit of all of this vanity and personal conceit is that the perfumes are infinitely more wearable and more attractive to an aromatherapy addict.

Here is a run down of the newest celebrity perfumes, the essential oils they contain and their likely beneficial effects.

LOVELY BY SARAH JESSICA PARKER should have actually been named ANTIDEPRESSANT. It contains mandarin, orchid and cedar and all three essential oils are mood elevators.

LIVE BY JENNIFER LOPEZ quite oddly adds ups to be a scent that says something like “using your feminine charms to get to the top.” It contains pineapple and sandalwood which are prosperity drawing scents, vanilla which is very attractive to males and aura cleansing lemon to make sure toxic types don’t get in your way!

TheÂ Olsen Twins, Mary Kate and Ashley have come up with two fragrances called NY and LA. It is also a bit strange how these two rich girls have loaded both scents with prosperity drawing oils. LA has guava and honeysucklle in it and both oils are renowned in metaphysics for beingÂ money magnets.Â NYC contains orange and pomegrante oils which are also classic money drawing oils (if you want to believe Raymond Buckland the author of the Magic in Food.)Â This begs the question – Are they twin witches too?

Not surprisingly JUST ME BY PARIS HILTON is all about sex. It contains musk, white roses and pink peppercorns (which are a big antidepressant!)

Britney Spears put some master perfumers to work to create her fragrance which is all about being unique. It contains red lychee (prosperity drawing) andÂ white chocolate orchid (which screams vagina power!) However like all things destined to be mass marketed it is ruined with an artificial synthetic note that smells like vanilla cupcakes (and also quite a bit like Jessica Simpson whose new scent is something called Vanilla Cupcake.)

Of course you could also get a little bit inventive and simply mix up your own purer parody of these celebrity fragrances by mixing up essential oils in a carrier oil. For instance, Just Me By Paris Hilton would be very easy to replicate using orange, musk and rose oil. Lovely By Jessica Parker would also be pretty simpleÂ as it is made of three very common oils -Â orange, cedarwood and orchid.
