How The 2007 Mars Retrograde Will Affect You

In terms of the individual, Mars (the planet of warriors) rules your ability to make an impact in the world and your physical energy. Depending on the placement of Mars in your chart during the retrograde you might either feel really tired and depressed and like you don’t have the will to go on or very angry and like you would like to wreak revenge. This planet can also bring accidents, injuries and violence as well as severe relationship conflicts that can lead to a permanent separation between partners and friends.

Mars requires 687 days to travel one cycle around the Sun and, depending on the time of year, this planet is stationary for up to five days. Its retrograde period happens every two years and it stays in this state for two to two-and-a-half months. The fact that it can stay retrograde for a couple of months creates scenarios that give emotions such as hatred, jealousy and resentment to brew.

An Olitory is simply a fancy word for a Kitchen Garden. The idea kitchen garden is a miniature grove stuffed full of herbs, edible flowers and posies used for decorating the home. It should be right outside your door and two steps away from picking spices for dinner or  fresh bouquet.

Must have herbs for this type of garden are basil, sage, thyme, chives, peppermint, dill, tarragon, garlic, lemon balm and catnip.  Geraniums, violets, ivies, miniature roses, allysum and ferns make elegant bouquets for a breakfast, dinner or lunch table.

Building A Garden Based on The Four Elements

Building a Garden based on the four elements is extremely easy. This is more Wiccan in nature than of Eastern Feng Shui.

Place the Earth Quadrant in the North, the Fire Element in the South, The Water Element in the West and the Air Element in the East.

In the Earth quadrant plant  — honeysuckle magnolia, patchouli, primrose and tulip

In the Air quadrant plant – lavender, lemon gras, mint, lily of the valley

In the Fire Quadrant plant – cactus, thistle, Marigold, snapdragon, sunflower and clove

In the Water quadrant plant – aster daffodil, daisy, iris, lilac and rose
