Ornamental quality Koi will have been breed from good quality parents, have bloodlines, good conformation, and beautiful coloration. Ornamental Koi however, have unbalanced patterns, with flaws in their skin and coloring. Unless one of your nosy neighbors is an expert, no one will be able to detect the imperfections.

  

Show quality Koi are expected to have good bloodlines, good body conformation, shiny and unflawed skin, sharp edges and balance in their patterns. These Koi come from show quality parents.

  

Most of us will stock our ponds with pond or ornamental quality Koi but it is interesting to become familiar with the varieties which make up 95% of Japanese Show quality Koi.

Here is a recipe for combating anxiety

  

2 drops Bergamot

2 drops Clary Sage

1 drop Frankincense

  

The citrus scent of the Bergamot brings a feeling of inspiration and joy while the earthy spicy clary sage serves to ground the emotions. The Frankincense is an overall healer that connects you to your higher self.

I have discovered an excellent way to scent my laundry and also give it a bit of an antibacterial boost. I buy unscented Bounce sheets for fabric softening in the dryer but before I throw the sheet in I drop a few drops of lavender oil or another favorite oil on the sheet. This not only turns my dryer into a giant aromatherapy diffuser but it helps remove cat hair and other things from my laundry.

  

Don’t try this on scented Bounce sheets – the stink is horrible!
