Western Feng Shui Symbols – Tiger

In Feng Shui, the element that belongs to the Tiger is Wood. Green thumb or not Tigers enhance their luck by surrounding themselves with plants. Artificial trees and plants are acceptable as long their leaves are kept dust free.

Paintings of forests, woods and flowers are also very lucky for this sign. Paintings of peonies bring them love and chrysanthemums bring them luck.  Images of cherry blossom trees bring them love, orange blossoms bring joy and a long marriage and peach blossoms bring them health.

Tigers like antiques and gambling so the perfect charm for them is an antique coin. A bowl of antique coins by the front door can increase their prosperity and an antique coin carried in the pocket can bring the luck at gaming or playing the lottery.

Feng Shui Advice For The Dog

Dogs are the most paranoid of signs and very protective of their environment. These territorial individuals benefit from placing to Fu Dogs or “Chinese Dragons” on either side of their front porch or just inside the front door.  A sign that is associated with metal, dogs are best suited to a house with a front door that faces Southeast or East.
Dogs also crave approval from others so it is good idea for them to enhance their Southern wall with red elements to achieve acceptance in their work. Their East wall should be augmented with pictures of family and friends to ensure loyalty and approval from others.

Different then the other signs, Dogs can get away with a little more clutter than the others as long as it is there for an ecological reason. These compassionate individuals care deeply about the environment and furniture and rugs made out of recycled materials greatly augment their personal potential for good fortune.

Western Feng Shui Symbols -The Rat

Rats are associated with water, so this means anything that contains water, including vases filled with flowers, aquariums and even bottles of oil or perfume can be subtle forms of enhancing their Feng Shui.
Other lucky objects for the Rat would be anything to do with the sea including images of ships, painting of seascapes (but not stormy images) and sea ports. Water related elements such as penguins; fish, turtles, starfish and goldfish are very lucky for them.
Real fountains or pictures of waterfalls, especially slower running ones, can help increase their prosperity.
As Rats are literary souls feathers and bamboo are also very lucky for them. Peacock feathers placed in the South can bring them fame and bamboo placed on their desk can lead to a promotion.
As rats like to travel they do well to place a globe of the world in their North West corner (or in their North sector if they want the travel to be related to their job.) Carrying a piece of topaz or amethyst can protect them while they are on a journey.
